 Curriculum Overview

Learning the basic skills are the building blocks for understanding more complex concepts. The stronger a child’s foundation in the basic’s, the easier they will be able to progress through more difficult tasks.

In both the Pre-kindergarten I (3 and 4 year olds) and Pre-kindergarten II (4 and 5 year olds) classes we will provide a variety of activities focused on Cognitive learning skills, such as;

  1. Fine motor skills; cutting, tracing and drawing.
  2. Perceptual motor skills; number, shape, color and letter recognition.
  3. Expressive and receptive language skills; listening, questioning, imitation, and relating words to pictures.
  4. Social and emotional skills; creativity, imagination, self-reliance, self-control and self-confidence.

The early years of schooling helps to determine how a child will learn for a lifetime. During this period, children develop a sense of self. Building self-esteem and confidence goes hand in hand with successful learning. We are determined to provide each child with a fun and fulfilling learning experience.
